Mother’s day is one of my favorite day’s of the year. There’s no better way to kick off a day dedicated to women with a scrumptious breakfast, so I have found 21 amazing breakfast recipes for you. Be sure to make it alllll the way down to the last recipe. It’s a fun one!
This is for all of you who don’t want to get up early and make a fuss in the kitchen. Make it the night before and pop in the oven when you wake up. Not only that, but the blueberries and lemon makes this a refreshing breakfast.
I am salivating just looking at this. Fresh peaches, cream, some oatmeal. This would be healthy and filling. Well, maybe not so healthy if you’re using the cream, but hey, just don’t tell your mom!
This banana split is a hit with the kids too. After I made this my husband and son dove in and devoured it for lunch, and he’s asked for it again and again. Not only is it healthy, its beautiful, and it only takes just a few minutes to (literally) toss it together.
I love stuffed french toast, but french toast waffles?! This just upped the french toast ante. Look at the deep purple oozing out of the waffles. It looks sinful and decadent all at the same time. And the fact that I am saying french toast waffles look decadent means we all must try it.
5. Banana Oat Muffins
I love these muffins! They are easy to make and freeze really well. So make some for your mom, or special lady in your life on Mother’s Day, and freeze the rest for a quick breakfast later.
These scones are made with ricotta cheese and covered in juicy blue berries. The ricotta must keep this light and fluffy too. I’ve never made an English scone before, and this one might just be the one I try!
Pastry’s are good, and nothing beats a fresh, homemade pastry! How yummy does this look, slathered in glaze. We can all justify this because there are apples in the recipe!
Okay, this one might be a little easier to justify. It’s packed with vegetables and eggs! Plus, its a one pan meal! You really can’t go wrong here.
MMM! More deep fried sweets. That strawberry glaze looks perfect!
10. Breakfast Trifle
It’s like a parfait, but with donut crumbles instead of granola. Best idea ever.
One thing my husband does not love is biscuits and gravy. It breaks my heart a little because I am huge fan. Perhaps its a good thing or else this would end up on my dinner table way too often.
Something a little spicy to wake you up! I love this alternative to a breakfast burrito too! Its colorful and easy to share.
13. Cinnamon Rolls
Warm, fresh, cinnamon rolls. I love how fresh cinnamon rolls just melt in your mouth. I’ll be rolling on over to your house for one of these!
These are so easy, you can have the kids help you make breakfast. I don’t know about your kids, but mine LOVE to help. A little too much sometimes. The only trick will be getting the donuts on the skewers before the little months are stuffed.
Gluten free AND sugar free for those with gluten intolerance. I am a lover of sugar and gluten, but this still looks fantastic to me and would totally try it.
Fill up these bad boys with sausage or bacon, eggs, veggies, and cheese! Just like an omelet, all wrapped up and ready to go!
Two smoothies layered on top of one another, just in case you can’t decide which one to make! Flavorful and fun!
We can’t leave out coffee cake! I love pecans, especially when they are covered in caramel and surrounded by cake.
A classic breakfast! The layers and colorful berries make this beautiful. And it’s easy. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m all about easy.
21. Donut McMuffin
That’s right. Donut McMuffin. My guess is only a select few would be excited about this. I cannot lie, I am one of the select few. Bring this bad boy on! Jacob made this up last week and we knew it had to be on the list. Just a glazed donut, a fried egg, a slice or 2 of ham, and some cheese. Tons of healthy protein surrounded by something sweet. My co-pilot and I bot agree that this would be best with a Krispy Kreme.
To all the beautiful woman out there- Happy Mother’s Day!!
There is nothing better than a fresh stack of pancakes in the morning and better yet serve them in bed. Breakfast-in-bed will start any mother’s day out on the right foot.
